Open Studios Innerleithen 2023 is open to any artist living and/or working in Innerleithen and the surrounding areas of Cardrona, Traquair and Walkerburn. 

We are opening our studios and work spaces to the public to celebrate the rich array of work being made in our community. 

Those without studios are able to exhibit their work in the windows of Innerleithen High Street thanks to the support of so many of our lovely local businesses.

Open Studios Innerleithen first began in 2022, initiated by local artists Gen Harrison & Muriel Prince. All the participating artists were bowled over by how warmly the event was received––a lot of people came to visit!  There was a huge amount of interest shown in the lovely array of work on display, many good conversations were had and a fair few sales were made too!

Following on the success of the first Open Studios in 2022, Innerleithen artists Jules Bradbury and Rachel Hunter have taken up the baton to make this an annual event in the local calendar.  Last year,  people were surprised to discover so many artists living and working among them...but we know there are many more!
